Jessie had an ‘episode’ last night which managed to give Melissa and I quite a scare. It seems he may have some kind of underlying illness we were not aware of. He seems to have recovered from it for now, he’s just a little bewildered. I will be taking him to the Vet after work, so let’s hope it’s something not too serious and manageable.
Jessie has been with me for half my life, and with Melissa for a quater of hers. I won’t lie, Jessie is a big pain in the bum but we both love him dearly and hate the thought of something happening to him. He has left a message for his family on his Facebook profile.
I’d just like to send out a big thankyou to Mel’s parents for coming to our rescue last night. When we didn’t know what to do, they were the first people we thought to call and they came straight over. Thankyou.
Get Well Soon Jessie!
Alliteration aside, the internet is pretty cool. I mean, I like it. I’m guessing you’re pretty happy with it if you’re reading this. I liked it more when Dominos Pizza decided to take delivery orders online. I liked it even more when Foxtel installed their “programming your IQ recorder” function via their website from anywhere in the world. I loved it the most when I discovered how easy it was to find po … information!
It has become an awesome way for my family to interact. Mel and I managed to recruit half of our family to Facebook the other night, who have become instantly addicted. My brother Richard has also made his web-presence return to our interweb with his new Online Empire. I have updated his links and all the others on my blogs menu.
Browse around. Take your time, it looks like this internet thing is here to stay.
In an attempt to get myself organised, I have made a “To-Do” list on my iGoogle page. Seeing as how it’s my Homepage, it will remind me every time I start my browser (Mozilla, IE sucks!).
Long story short, it has been reminding me successfully, I am now aware of everything I need to do. However, 1 week after making the list I still have not crossed anything off. I have added a couple of items, but whether it be because I wasn’t able to or didn’t get around to it, I haven’t completed any of the items.
Just tonight I had a list of 3 people to call to get some of these things organised. The 1st person didn’t answer their mobile, but I found out from a call to their house phone they were busy. 2nd person didn’t answer their mobile, I called someone who might know where I can get in touch with them, they didn’t answer their house phone – and they don’t have a mobile! I myself am contactable 24/7 via multiple means … sometimes too contactable!
So still nothing solved, but I think I’ll add “Buy people special ‘Chris’ pagers” to my list.
After the whirlwind that was my 30th / Wedding (please note the slash), things are slowly returning to our casual chaos. Last weekend the wife and I (he he! Still sounds funny) decided to start out our house cleanout for 2007. This involves emptying out drawers and cupboards and working out each object in the pile’s individual fate. We always seem to accumulate a lot of crap and it is now nice to see my desk again. It is amazing how things I had lost have been turning up! We got a lot done, but we still have upstairs and the dreaded shed to go!
Mel and I currently have a few fun little distractions in our lives, one of them being Facebook – the bizarro Myspace. It is much better than the competition and has heaps of fun little apps and games that are coded by users. If you haven’t got a profile, it’s worth setting one up. Mel and I knew our matrimony was official when we changed our profile’s status.
Once my schedule gets back on track, I’ll have to organise going to Gym, Writing/Recording/Practicing music, covers gigs, putting together CD Launch and my many Web Design Jobs currently on the burn. It was nice having free time for a little while. No rest for the crazy.

Things have been pretty quiet on my Blog the past couple of weeks for good reason. Mel and I were in full preparation for our Big Day last Friday. On my 30th birthday, Melissa and I snuck out with a small party of family and friends and got married.
It was a beautiful ceremony in the city. The weather was unkind, but didn’t stop us from enjoying our time. We signed many forms, posed for heaps of family shots and I shook many hands. But the only thing that I really recall is how Mel looked. She had chosen the most amazing dress, and looked like a princess. It was breathtaking.
The celebrating continuued into the night. I had everyone I wanted there, friends and family. It featured the debut performance of my band “YoursTRULY”. Plus, great music sets by Shane (Roadcase Duo) and Marion (Moonlight Duo). James and Richie set up awesome lights and the fantastic food was prepared by Mel’s parents.
The whole thing is a bit of a blur for us both but we look back with fond memories and are enjoying everyones photos. I am currently sifting through heaps of pictures with more still to round up. We also have the professional ones to go broke on. once I have them all, I will put together a nice slideshow of the day for everyone who visits to be tortured with. Thanks to Richard, Mike and David for following us around that day (aka. “The Camera Club”).
The next day we headed up to Warrnambool for a recovery weekend away – whcih was lovely. There are photos to come, but for now it’s back to work and back to reality.
Thankyou again to everyone who helped last weekend – Mel and I are extremely blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.
