System’s Down!

The title of this post is the well known greeting of IT Tech’s around the world on “SysAdmin Day“. The common response being “System’s down to you too!” Yes, today is the one day of the year we acknowledge the hardworking (coff!) dedicated (coff!) IT People around the world.

So.. “System’s down, Everybody! ” From YTruly.Net :-)

Musician’s Partner

By being in a relationship with me, Mel soon learned of the “added” roles a Musician’s partner takes on. Some of which include:

- Roadie
She will often be landed with helping me load and unload my gear for gigs
- Groupie
She will often be dragged along to gigs to watch me play for the 100th time
- Audience
She will most likely end up being a sounding board for works that are “in production”.
- Tech
Loaded with batteries, capos, strings and various other spares “just in case”.

In my hunt for a new Maton the other day, Mel made me so proud by pulling out of her purse a spare plectrum she had lifted from my supply, just in case I didn’t have one on any particular day. That’s the way!!

The “need money” music tour

I’ve got a few gigs coming up over the next few months and thought I might mention them here:

22nd July 6pm – “Highways” (Noble Park)
29th July 6pm – “Highways” (Noble Park)
5th August 9pm – “Zagames” (Boronia)
19th August 6pm – “Highways” (Noble Park)
26th August with “Rocket Girl” – Private Function
2nd September – “Highways” (Noble Park)
I play 3 x 40 minute sets on acoustic guitar

Come one, come all! Grab a meal while your there
(& don’t forget to clap!)

But I was 28 yesterday!

Well my life as a “twenty-something” year old is drawing to a close. Last night night (at exactly 12:07am, sorry again Mum!) marked the beginning of the last year of my youth, and the countdown to the start of my 3rd decade on the planet. So I’m gonna try my best to make it a good one! Wish me luck :)
