One of the drawbacks to living in the confined area we do, is the car space is very limited. Quite often my car space will be used by visitors. More often than not, visitors to the old cow who lives next door. (Its a bitchy old lady – not an actual cow)
This time however, it appears that her visitor has used my space and they have taken the old cow’s car to go out. Very frustrating! Considering I have told her not to use the space under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!
My mind is racing with things I could do to move the car manually but most of it would probably make the situation worse than it is. So I’ve had to resort to a note under the windshield wiper. If it is still there tomorrow though – I might get out the old coat hanger
UPDATE:
Well the mystery has been solved. Sure enough! It was the old lady’s daughter’s car.
A teacher at the school I work at, asked me a while back to fill in for the band he was a member of “Rocketgirl”. Their regular guitarist was involved in another project for a few months and they had some bookings during that time. I hesitantly said yes and was very stressed about it right up until the Gig last Sunday night. Sure I’d played guitar lots of times, but never as the lead guy in a rock band.
The event was a wedding at Southbank and I was there for over 7 hours! I set up my gear and we started playing around 7 o’clock. I struggled a bit with the jazz numbers, especially with the soloing – but later when the disco kicked in i was in my element. It was a lot of fun playing with a band again, and these guys were particularly talented. the lead singer had everything memorised and was brilliant at working the crowd. The bass player (who lead the group) loved to funk everything up which was fine by me and the drummer.
All-in-all it came up well, the band was happy with my performance as both a singer and a player – as were the wedding party (who in fact couldn’t tell I was a ring in). I have another couple of bookings with them coming up so I’ll have to brush up on my wailing electric distorted guitar solos.
On Saturday Night, Melissa and I went up tp meet Marion and her cousin Faye at a pub near Cheltenham. It was “Karaoke Night” and they wanted to enter the comp.
It was a lot of fun watching these big tough beer guzzlers get up and have a go at rock ballads. Before you knew it though, Marion and I were up there. I’ve never been a big fan, but we had a great time singing together as its been a while since our last performance as “Moonlight“

5 facelifts and 294 posts later, my blog is officially 1 year old today!
I’ve moved away from my previous setup of 2 17″ screens set as dual monitors and decided to go for a single one thats slightly larger. I first purchased a Diamond Scan 19″ CRT which was absolutely hopeless. It wouldnt support the resolution I was after and would pincussion when runing games.
I took that back and went a step further into LCD land. I picked up a niftly little 8ms 17″ LCD screen which looks fantastic on the desk. I’ve only used it for about 5 minutes but I think it will serve its purpose well. It may even help with our very large power bill.
Since I upgraded, the hardware rotation happens again. Mel will get an upgraded graphics card and I’ll use her basic twin view GeForce to run the dual screens upstairs for when I do music recordings.
Yesterday I took a break from gaming and went to a get together for Dad’s Birthday. Mel and I stopped off at JB Hi-Fi on the way down to pick up his presents. We were to meet them in Dromana mid Sunday afternoon.
After the usual “crappy wrapping effort” remarks Dad opened his gift to reveal the 2 DVDs we bought him. “Master and Commander” and “The Last Waltz”.
My Uncle Keith and Uncle Paul came down, along with my Nana. It was great to catch up with them all as we only see each other once in a blue moon. My brother Scott took the opportunity to show me his Gold Coast trip photos. Looks like they had an awesome time. Now, after seeing how much Matrix stuff they have at MovieWorld, I can’t wait for our holiday in October!
My Uncle Keith has requested I put together some sort of Desktop Computer system for his family to use. I will spend a bit of time hunting down computer parts this week. I should be able to get a decent machine going for him at an affordable price.
I’ve gotten right into my game now – which I could tell by the fact I played it for a good 20 hours this past weekend. I’ve been excepted into a well respected faction (guild) and with their help, I am getting pretty high in lvl.
Once again I have cancelled my City of heroes account. I feel that Paragon City will be safe in the hands of David – Zion needs me now
I miss you Mel!
I saw a story on the news last night that said they are looking into removing the slidey poles from fire stations. Why? They might be hazzardous to the health of Firemen.
I don’t know about you , but if the main part of your job was running into burning buildings – I wouldn’t be too fussed about the potention dangers of something that resembles what they have in a childs playground.
Soon the world will be so afraid of everything we’ll all be walking around in space suits!

The female (I hesitate to use the word) singer “Wing” has been on ROVE, featured in an episode in Season 9 of Southpark and has sold many albums to people who I can only assume are crazy or deaf.
I happen to know Dean is a big fan, and will love the little tribute we have created for him at work
