Last night Melissa and I watched Music Max’s countdown of the worst 90’s songs ever produced. It featured everyone from Aqua to MC Hammer – with Peter Andre in the Middle. The sad part was that Mel seemed to know and love them all. Oh well, God doesn’t give with both hands 
We were treated by Vanilla Ice’s “Cruisin in my 5.0″ at number 2 before the all time worst was played. It was (you guessed it) Billy Ray Cyrus with his 1HW – Achey Breaky Heart. It was very odd watching that film clip with the number “1″ diplayed at the bottom left, this side of 1992.

Marion (from Moonlight) E-mailed me this morning, letting me know she had arrived safely and is doing well giggling* in the Middle East. She said the flight was a long 25 hours and there was a stop over in Dubai for 7 hours – but now that she is there, she is having the time of her life.

Windows XP has been found to have audio content that was produced using pirated software. Someone discovered a signature hidden in some audio files when they are put through a Hex editor. Busted!

The content in question can be found on every computer with Windows XP as operating system installed. Nine WAV audio files located in the folder ” “HelpToursWindowsMediaPlayerAudioWav” in the Windows installation directory include a signature of “Deepz0ne”, a member of former cracking group “Radium”. Thanks to the wonders of email, I have recently caught up with a friend of mine – Rick Knight. He used to play drums in some bands with me and is now in NSW doing his radio “thang” (as he put it) as a DJ on Snow FM’s Hot20 countdown. He has always had one of those great radio voices and after listening to his recent Aircheck demo download, I can see he’s gotten a heap better!

Last Friday, Mel was being videoed at her workplace. They are producing a package of promotional material, and advertisements for the shop she works at. One of the features will possibly be an add showing at Dromana Drive in! So if your heading down that way to watch a movie, keep an eye out for her on the big screen. I hope she includes my name in her Oscar winning speech
Last Friday afternoon I began guitar lessons again – learning, not teaching. Those who know me, know that I am already quite confident on guitar, but I felt it was time to extend my abilities by challenging myself. I am learning off a friend of mine who studied jazz at the VCA. He is a mountain of knowledge when it comes to chord voicings, scales and music theory related to all types off guitar playing styles. I want to learn as much as I can can so that I can confidently get work filling in for bands that might need a player.
Well, I had better go and practice!

Melissa is a huge fan of the new US Drama series the OC. Just to make her happy, I made use of the wonderful world of Bit Torrent and downloaded the rest of this season for her – plus the first 2 episodes of season 2 (awwww – That’s True Love!). It makes me laugh to listen to Channel 10 promote the big “end of series” cliff hangers. They haven’t even finished airing season 10 of Friends yet! That was last May for us!! Well if Mel can be smug and tell her friends “I know what happens!”, my work here is done
