My dodgy coding efforts

I have now managed to code myself a dodgy little “quote” item on my menu tab which will show my most recent “quote of the moment” post.
Thats right, I did it myself!! look out webmasters, another verified geek has emerged.

Quote of the moment …

HOLY HABIDASHERY!
- Robin (Batman Orig.)

I’m sorry about the wait!

This blog entry was supposed to be yesterday’s but because I had to wait so long everywhere I went, it had to be pushed back to today. It started with my usual Wednesday JB Hifi run where the store person took a good 15mins finding the DVDs I requested. Then onto Blockbuster where their ‘new system’ made it 20 times longer than it should have been to buy an ice-cream with our weekly videos. And lastly … well I’ll just mix the words ‘Hungry Jacks’ and ‘Trainee’ and let you fill in the blanks. Every one of them was ‘SORRY ‘ about the wait. I don’t know about you but I couldn’t give a monkey’s elbow about how ’sorry’ they are. I would prefer they used the time they take apologising to HURRY THE HELL UP!
- Ahhhh … that’s better.

Quote of the moment …

I believe that sex is one of the most beautiful, natural, wholesome things that money can buy!
- Steve Martin

Quote of the moment …

You know what’s weird? Donald Duck never wore pants. But whenever he’s getting out of the shower, he always put a towel around his waist. I mean, what is that about?
- Chandler Bing (Friends)

One week old – they grow so fast!

Hooray, my website is one week old! :) and to celebrate I have added yet another feature to the menu bar. Well, James and I added the feature … well James did it. It shows all the recent comments made by everyone in nifty little shortcuts. Tuesday is fast becoming ‘web maintenence day’ as I have also taken it onto myself to fix my manager’s website today. Check out the new one – starbuck.au.com

Quote of the moment …

We will return you to your proctologist’s love story ‘ Somebody up there loves me’, in just a moment …
- Colin Mochery (Whose Line is it Anyway)

Quote of the moment …

Sometimes the road less travelled, is less travelled for a reason.
- Jerry Seinfeld

1 + 3/4 day Weekend

Well after 1/4 of our weekend was shut for Anzac day respects, we are now back at work. When i say ‘we’ I mean Victoria and Tasmania, as the rest of the country decided to extend their weekends to 2+3/4 days. Now I don’t exactly work in a coal mine, but if anyone takes a sleep-in away from me, I have no choice but to point and frown :( . Maybe this is one point that Sydney wins in the fight to be the better state. Or maybe I’m just bitter because I HAVEN’T HAD ENOUGH SLEEP!

Quote of the moment …

In the beginning there was nothing. God said, ‘Let there be light!’ And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better.
- Ellen DeGeneres
